I am a only child and come from a non-horsey background so it was a huge shock to my parents when i asked to start horse riding aged 8. It wasn't long before I had my very own pony and joined the local pony club. As a child, I competed in showjumping, dressage, tetrathlon and hunted however aged 13 I found my love for eventing. I competed at pony club and BE level with the highlight being a qualification to the Mitsubishi Motors Grass Roots Championships in 2011. I then went onto playing polocrosse where i represented the UK at under 21 and open level. I have also played polo for a number of years. I was very fortunate to travel the world playing polocrosse which allowed me to visit Texas, Australia, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Ireland. I now have 2 event horses of my own that I have produced from 3year olds, a polo pony and my first competition pony aged 27. I was yard manager for many years at a special stables that allowed me to use the horses for therapy work with disabled children. We also re-trained race horses so this was a extremely rewarding job. After relocating I wanted to find a equally rewarding job and after gathering my qualifications for ESMT, I have embarked on my journey. With the amount of experience I have had with a variety of disciplines it helps to understand clients horses and goals that they want to achieve and just how we reach them.
